Dear Friends,

During the last year, the Washington Township Land Trust has continued to pursue our goals of land conservation and historic preservation. We added the 89 acre Covalesky property to the 300+ acres we have already helped preserve, and another 133 acres are in the works. In addition, the south wall of the Obadiah LaTourette Grist and Saw Mill has been completed and more windows have been restored.

Along the way, we had some fun too. Notable events were our Annual Potluck Dinner (December 8 this year) and our successful Wine Tasting fund raiser (to be repeated April 21, 2007).

We are all volunteers motivated by the desire to ensure that future generations will still have open space for passive recreation like hiking, fishing, hunting and nature study. We also want them to be able to visit our mill and gain an appreciation for the importance of farming and milling in the development of our community.

We look forward to the renewal of your annual membership and your continued help with our operating budget, preservation projects and matching grants. Without you we could not have come this far.

Don't forget to join us for the Potluck Dinner and the Wine Tasting.

Membership and Donation Form

Does your company sponsor a matching donations program? If so, when you send us a donation or renew your membership, include your company's form. The Washington Township Land Trust may qualify under the terms of your company’s sponsorship program. This is an easy way to double your donation dollars and support of the Land Trust preservation efforts.

At present we receive dollar matches from the following four companies (maybe one is yours); Verizon Corp., Pfizer United Way Campaign, National Starch & Chemical Foundation and Chubb Corp. We would, of course, like to see that list grow longer. With your help we might be able to add your company’s name. As always, we thank you for your support of our efforts in Washington Township.
